On the 2nd of Febuary we, class 9 along with Frau Behncke visited the National Gandhi Museum. We boarded the bus with a little nervousness as we had to give our presentation on the topics related to the Indian Independence. When we reached the Museum, the first thing we saw was a huge stone sculpture of Mahatma Gandhi along with his followers during the Salt March which took place in the year 1930.

Further on behind the big sculpture was a statue of Gandhi painted in gold. It was placed on a black block which had the three principles of Gandhi in 3 languages. The principles being: Truth, Non-violence, and Humanity. That is also the place where we gave our presentation

One by one we displayed our presentations on topics such as the East India Company, the indian mutiny, the indian independence movement, etc. After that we went inside the Museum only to be more amazed of the history at that time. We saw the different types of spinning wheels,Khadi(raw cotton),the bullet with which Gandhi was shot, his stop watch and some amazing paintings of Gandhi and is principles.

We were just about to board the bus back when suddenly we were invited by the director of the Museum for a cup of tea. We went back inside the museum to the directors office. The director greeted us warmly and all of us discussed Gandhis Life. Soon it was time for us to go back to school and so we made our way to the bus back again. This was a very nice experience for all of us.
